Journals & Handbooks

Handbook of Latin American Studies
THE absolute first stop! Edited by the Hispanic Division of the Library of Congress; also available in print and CD-ROM forms. Need a paper topic? Check out the Subject Term Glossary.

Revista de Historia Regional
Lists edition contents of this Portuguese language journal created by the State University of Ponta Grossa, Brasil

Resource Center of the Americas
This nonprofit organization is devoted to broadening the connections between the peoples of the Americas through education, information, and organization. This portion of their site contains mostly current awareness info, but there is also a Periodicals Archive Index of some of the Center's publications. This is a great site; don't just stop to look at the Archives!

The Andean Past
Electronic journal edited at the University of Maine and published about every two years. Papers are on archeological or ethnohistorical topics.

The American Historical Review
The great-grandfather to whom we must all pay homage...oh yeah, and the Review prints the occassional article on a Latin American topic.
